Film Festivals

When Nick first helped to organize a film festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, he sent out the press release with a fax machine. It was a while ago.

Since then he has supervised dozens of screenings and festivals, including two at the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, South Carolina. The focus is usually on independent, international short films; the aim is to expand the viewership of new films and encourage emerging artists to tell their stories.

Below are some recent festivals.

BAD BLOOD

In 2020, to foster creativity and encourage filmmakers to keep producing even when they don’t have a crew, Emerald Coast Filmmakers and the Production Services Association of Northwest Florida banded together to create a Film Challenge called the Bad Blood Film Challenge.

Official Selections were screened on Facebook Live on Sunday, October 25th 2020. The judges considered storytelling aspects, the scare quotient, and how much fun the filmmakers seemed to have making their movies!
