All For Liberty

All For Liberty was the first feature film Nick directed, a historical epic that followed the Felder family through the American Revolutionary War.

Over the course of four years, Nick filmed three projects back to back – the narrative feature; a “day in the life” documentary about the reenactment of the Siege of Charles Towne; and a behind-the-scenes feature called Captain Felder’s Cannon, about the real-life history that inspired All For Liberty.

All For Liberty was a real labor of love, which Nick filmed and lit, often in the 80 degree summer heat of South Carolina and Georgia in woolen period costume! He shot over 60 hours of footage for the three projects and the standing joke was that they had a British guy directing this story of American emancipation.

The film went on to win multiple awards and Nick will always be grateful to the producers for hiring him to direct this movie. As with all films, it was a collaborative effort and Nick has a cadre of lifelong friends as a result.
